Nothing lasts forever...

I know we don’t have time travels yet and it sounds unreal to imagine it right now but I have a feeling its coming in the near future. Nobody thought of computers just a century ago and now nothing goes on without them. Well, let’s assume we have a time travel and brought Albert Einstein to this century. I guarantee you he will die, not due to global warming or radiation but out of shock. The guy lived here not long ago but it’s a totally different world now. He left an era where computers were limited and probably for official purposes mainly. He will now find a 6 year old toddler playing computer games - in his room.  He left the world where space exploration was a dream and it’s now a big reality. Did I mention the rapid change in fashion and globalization of culture? The guy was here not so long ago; left the world for a while and it is now something totally different. Bring Zinjathropus instead and he won’t last a second.
Nothing lasts forever, nothing really. I slept yesterday only to find a new billboard up today. A lot more happened last night; 100,000 babies were born, 45,000 people died, I have probably gained a few pounds and I wasn’t even aware of all this. The world is moving at a very fast pace. In just a second, 4 infants are born and 2 people die. Maybe the number is not too convincing but in about 10 years a new generation is formed that knows different, does different, and definitely thinks differently.
I know you have heard of it before but it’s real, so real. Life is dynamic. The opportunity you had yesterday is probably closed today. The time you have now will never be available tomorrow. Over the next second a lot could happen, you could win a lottery, , you could among the 2 people who die every second, you could discover secrets of the universe, a no could be a yes, . I don’t know…insane is the word for it.
Dr Seuss put it clearly by saying “They say I'm old-fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast!”  Its 2013 today, not too long before we start flipping the calendar, and before we know it, we will be citizens of planet Mars and planet X. Who knows?
There is probably something you have always wanted to do and every time you think about it, you postpone it to tomorrow or next month, or next year. It is probably a wise decision but just keep in mind that there is no perfect timing. The world is always changing and poses different situations each time.  Maybe time travels will one day be available and you will be able to undo mistakes and redo the past, maybe. But while that is still a fictional story, I want you embrace the present. What you see now changes rapidly in the next second so grab it and enjoy it while it lasts because nothing, absolutely nothing lasts forever.
