Friction

So, according to Physics, static friction increases with applied force up to a maximum value and then switches to a smaller value of kinetic friction. Nothing new, nothing rocket science, just  daily application of Physics. Consider the case where you have a heavy box on the floor and you want to move it. Here is what happens before it actually moves, the harder you push, the harder it becomes to move. You’ll have to sweat since static friction reciprocates what the force you apply. The moment you have managed to move the box, you feel a relief, kinetic friction takes charge.
Sounds familiar? Have you ever tried doing something great and the harder you try, the more hopeless it seems. My friend, you have an encounter with natural friction and the good news is it gets better. You are trying to move a box and it’s only natural to face resistance. The friends who weren’t really friends, the family that will keep discouraging you, the little voice in your head that keeps warning you of failure, it can all be summarized in one word- friction.  If you stick to the plan much longer you will notice that it only gets better. Once the box is moving, you coast all the way to success.
Truth is it is static friction that results to fear. Fear is the ultimate form of resistance that will glue the box to the ground. The world is more exciting with moving boxes, than just boxes seated.  All the history makers we know faced friction- a lot of it. Michael Faraday, William Kamkwamba, Albert Einstein, Abraham Lincoln among others will all back me up on this one. Friction is natural and the universe expects us to keep pushing. Push as if your whole life depends on it and well a smile is guaranteed. The box needs to move, so keep pushing , you know why? It only gets better.
